Normothermic Ex Vivo Perfusion Before Transplantation of the Kidney (NEXT-Kidney): A Single-center, Nonrandomized Feasibility Study
There is conflicting evidence regarding the efficacy of normothermic machine perfusion (NMP) in suboptimal deceased donor kidneys. We aimed to assess the feasibility and short-term efficacy of brief preimplantation NMP in circulatory death (DCD) kidneys.
Values, Preferences, and Risk Tolerance of People Waitlisted for a Kidney Transplant Regarding Potential Deceased Donor Organ Profiles: A Systematic Review
Incorporating the views of people waitlisted for a kidney transplant is important when clinicians consider any donor kidney offer.

Monosodium Urate Crystal Depletion and Bone Erosion Response in Kidney Transplant Recipients With Uncontrolled Gout Treated With Pegloticase: PROTECT Serial Dual-Energy Computed Tomography Findings
Hyperuricemia and gout are associated with poor outcomes in kidney transplant (KT) recipients, including graft failure. The PROspective sTudy of pEglotiCase in Transplant patients (PROTECT) trial showed high urate-lowering efficacy of pegloticase in immunosuppressed KT recipients with uncontrolled gout. Here, we report serial dual-energy computed tomography (DECT) findings in PROTECT participants.
Combined Body Mass Index and Body Surface Area to Predict Post Kidney Transplant Outcomes in Patients With Obesity
The prevalence of obesity is increasing in both the general and kidney failure populations. Severe obesity (body mass index [BMI] ≥ 40 kg/m2) is considered by many centers to be a barrier to kidney transplantation (KT). Obesity is typically defined using BMI. Body surface area (BSA) is not considered, though may also be important.
