The CTRMS mission is to lead the development and delivery of safe, innovative cellular and regenerative therapies to improve patients’ health.
Our Society, founded by Dr. Camillo Ricordi over 30 years ago brings together a global community of experts in the field, thus creating a robust platform for scientific advancement. Our extensive network supports and promotes collaborative research, educational initiatives, and exchange opportunities among scientists and clinicians from academia and industry. We are dedicated to facilitating the clinical translation of pioneering therapies and addressing the complex regulatory issues that accompany these advancements.
Our next Congress, the 18th International Cell Transplant and Regenerative Medicine International Congress will be held in Tokyo, Japan, from October 22nd to 25th, 2025

Camillo Ricordi Lecture Fund
Will be used to help support the selected lecturer to attend each biennial congress. Since the 15th congress held on the island of Lesvos, Greece, in 2019, we have commemorated Dr. Ricordi’s contributions by hosting the Honorary Ricordi Lecture, inviting a distinguished scientist who has made significant contributions to the field of cell transplantation to deliver a lecture.
Young Investigator/Trainees Fund
Will be used to support the involvement of trainees who intend to pursue a career in cellular transplantation and/or regenerative medicine in educational and other activities of CTRMS.
Biennial Congress
Will be used to support the biennial congress to promote research and provide a forum that highlights the most recent advances in clinical and basic sciences related to cell transplantation and regenerative medicine.
