We, Dr. Limor Meoded Danon (medical sociologist, working at the Azrieli faculty of medicine, Bar-Ilan University), and Prof. Dr. Katharina Rall (the Head of Centre for Rare Female Genital Malformations, University of Tübingen) are looking for participants in our study. This research project is a collaboration with the Women in Transplantation (WIT) Initiative of TTS.
In our study we are focusing on the sociocultural perspectives, conflicts and dynamics surrounding uterus transplantation (UTx) process. The aims of our study are to examine the cultural, organizational and the soma-emotional experiences and differences among the varied participants involve in the UTx process.
We are looking for medical professionals and caregivers (from different UTx centers around the world) to share with us their knowledge and experiences. This invitation is voluntary, non-binding and will help to understand broader aspects and perspectives of the UTx process. This is a qualitative study, based on interviews, which mainly held in English and via zoom. If possible, dependent on location, we welcome face to face interviews.
Participants are free to choose to participate / to stop their participation at any time, according to their personal considerations, and without any sense of commitment.
The study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee at Bar-Ilan University. Interviews will happen via Zoom and will be recorded with the participant’s approval. These recordings will be used for research purposes only. Participant’s responses will be anonymous and treated as confidential.
Please do not hesitate to contact Dr. Limor Meoded Danon for more details at limor.meoded-danon@biu.ac.il
