A Collaborative Webinar Series between The Transplantation Society, the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine, the Indian Society of Transplantation, and the International Society for Organ Donation and Procurement.
It is our pleasure to invite you to join a webinar series jointly organized by The Transplantation Society's Anesthesia and Critical Care Committee, the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine, the Indian Society of Transplantation, and the International Society for Organ Donation and Procurement.
The webinar series will focus on the process of organ donation, specifically in the end-of-life care of donors in order to facilitate organ donation for transplantation. Participants will learn about the skills related to donor evaluation, diagnosis of death, donor management, as well as how to approach families and communicate bad news regarding the diagnosis of brain death and organ donation, and the process of donation after circulatory definition of death (DCD).
These webinars will bring together the community of Global Intensive Care Specialists, Anesthesiologists and Physicians to provide an educational platform to increase deceased donation with the goal of saving lives and increase the quality of life through organ transplantation.

MD, PhD, anesthesiologist, is Assessor on Transplantation, Medical Direction, Hospital Clinic, Barcelona; Associate Professor, Medical School, University of Barcelona; and President of the TPM-DTI Foundation, Past President ISODP-TTS and TTS European Councilor. He created the deceased and living donation program in the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona in 1985and the TSF multi-tissue bank in 1994. He is an expert in organ and tissue donation, training donor procurement, and tissue banking at national and international level. Among the most important positions he has occupied, he was the former president of the European Transplant Coordinators Organization (ETCO, the former vice president of the European Association of Tissue Banks (EATB) and, from 2015 until September 2017, he was the President of the International Society for Organ Donation and Procurement (ISODP). He is currently European Councilor of The Transplantation Society (TTS) for 2018-2022 and Chair of the TTS Anesthesia and Critical Care Committee (2020-2022).

Dr. Deepak Govil is the Director of Medanta’s Critical Care Unit and has been working in the field of critical care medicine for more than 25 years. He is a teacher and an examiner for FNB, IDCCM and FICCM. He has contributed to several chapters, authored ICU guideline and co-Authored papers in national and international journals. He has actively participated in several international trails and studies. Dr. Govil has served as Vice President of Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine and Vice Chancellor of Indian College of Critical Care Medicine. He is the chairman of a guideline committee besides being a member of constitution amendment committee of ISCCM. He has been organizing numerous Critical Care Symposium in the past two decade. Dr. Govil has been awarded fellowship by American College of Critical Care Medicine and Indian College of Critical Care Medicine. He is the Director of WINFOCUS ITO Delhi besides being on the board of directors of WINFOCUS. He is also an instructor for ACLS, FCCS and ATLS.
Vivek Kute, MD, DM Nephrology(Gold Medal), FASN, FRCP(London), is a Professor and Unit Head Nephrology and Transplantation at Institute of Kidney Diseases and Research Center and Dr. H L Trivedi Institute of Transplantation Sciences (IKDRC-ITS), B J Medical College Ahmedabad, India. He is Secretary of the Indian Society of Organ Transplantation, member of the Scientific Program Committee for the TTS 2020 Seoul, Korea, congress, Councilor of The Transplantation Society (TTS), Councilor of Asian Society of Transplantation, member of the WHO Task Force Transplantation, member of the Declaration of Istanbul Custodian Group, member of Apex technical committee of National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization,and ERAEDTA YNP Board of Advisors. IKDRC-ITS has completed 6100 kidney transplants including 925 deceased donor and 440 kidney exchanges. Dr. Kute’s vision for TTS includes outreach to developing countries and enhancing global alliances to Improve transplant registry outcome and access to transplantation, and to help promote TTS, its Mission and its Ethics in Asia and Globally. Dr. Kute has 150 peer-reviewed publications.

Bio
Marcelo Cantarovich is Professor of Medicine, and Associate Director (Multi-Organ Transplant Program) at McGill University (Montreal, Canada). He currently serves as TTS President. His research focuses on multi-organ transplantation, immunopharmacology and renal protection strategies. He has published over 150 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals. He is past President of the Canadian Society of Transplantation. He is the Chair of the TTS 2022 Congress in Buenos Aires. His primary focus is continuing education for young and established TTS members and increase global access to transplantation.
Research lines have been funded in competitive national calls: 6 as PI, author of 80 works indexed in PubMed (H-Index: 17), 8 directed PhD projects.
