Jen is a transplant nephrologist working at Westmead Hospital and has an active research portfolio in cell therapies and transplant genomics at the Westmead Institute for Medical Research.

Professor Chapman trained in Cambridge, London and Oxford before moving to Westmead Hospital and Sydney University in 1987 as consultant renal physician and then Director of Western Renal Services. He has been President of The Transplantation Society 2008-10. His Lifetime H index is currently about 100 with more than 26,000 citations from more than 460 peer reviewed publications. He has also been President of the World Marrow Donor Association and chairs the Australian Bone Marrow Donor Registry Board. Member Expert Advisory Panel of the World Health Organisation 2010 – 2022. He is currently Editor in Chief of the Transplantation Journal (IF 6.2) and Transplantation Direct Journal (IF 2.3)

Carla Baan, PhD, is Professor and Head of the Transplantation Laboratory at Erasmus Medical Center, The Netherlands. Her position involves the supervision of PhD research related to cellular and molecular transplantation immunology. Baan was the first immunologist and female president of the European Society for Organ Transplantation (2011-2013), a board member of the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (2015-2016) and the Dutch Transplant Society (2008-2011). Currently, Prof Baan is the Executive Editor Basic Sciences and Social Media Editor of the Transplantation Journal.

Edward Geissler is a scientist at the University of Regensburg working in different areas spanning the field of Transplantation including basic immunology and tolerance, solid organ transplantation, immunosuppressive therapies and post-transplant malignancy. He has focussed on the understanding and prevention of immunologic rejection of transplanted organs and on novel, as well as conventional, immunosuppressive therapies to prevent transplant rejection. He also has an interest in post-transplant development of cancer, and has made a strong translational research effort through molecular targeting to reduce the threat of malignancies in transplant recipients. In another effort to reduce the burden of immunosuppressive drugs, he is leading an initiative to introduce cellular therapy in transplant recipients. Transfer of new ideas from the basic research lab to the transplant recipient is a central theme of his work.
