Dr. Eichenberger received her medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine internship and Residency at Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, and served as Chief Medical Resident at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She returned to Duke University for her Infectious Diseases Fellowship where she underwent specialized training in Transplant Infectious Diseases.
Dr. Eichenberger is now an Assistant Professor of Medicine in Infectious Diseases at Emory University School of Medicine where she spends the majority of her clinical time treating immunocompromised patients with infections. Her primary research involves understanding and improving outcomes in solid organ transplant recipients with bloodstream infections.
