267.1 - Management of TB in Donors/Recipients
Presenter: Martina, Sester, Saarbrücken, Germany Authors: Martina Sester
Overview Although tuberculosis post transplantation is considerably rare, its morbidity and mortality is rather high. This emphasizes the need for an early identification of patients at risk. This webinar will give an overview on the incidence of tuberculosis among transplant candidates and recipients in relation to pathogen prevalence, on tuberculosis management, and on tools to diagnose latent and active disease and its limitations in immunocompromised patients.
