The SPLIT Education Committee and Council are calling for center applications to co-host the 2027 SPLIT annual meeting with TTS (The Transplantation Society). The meeting will ideally be held in April or May 2027 on a Thursday/Friday.

This letter serves as a guideline for application submission and outlines the process including scoring criteria. Please note that the meeting process will be different than previous SPLIT annual meetings in that the host site organizers will be collaborating and giving input to TTS/SPLIT who will be providing the meeting.

Applicants may be asked to discuss their proposal on an Application Selection call. Please send your center’s complete application packet to Katie Tait at katie.tait@tts.org by March 15, 2025. Council approved site selection will be announced at the 29th Annual SPLIT Meeting on May 1-2, 2025 in Washington DC. Sites that are not selected will have the option to be added to the selection pool for the following 2 years.

Application Deadline:
March 15, 2025

Guideline for application content (not to exceed 6 pages):

  • Describe the overarching general theme for the meeting. Proposed tentative program content is strongly encouraged. Please consider current SPLIT members as well as local expertise for speakers.
  • Provide specific details regarding the cost and availability of administrative support for provision of CME/CEU for meeting participants
  • Estimates should be based upon approximately 250 registrants
  • Please note recommendations for meeting space, either in-house or at an outside venue.
  • Information highlighting your center including:
    • Membership and involvement in SPLIT
    • Highlights/Innovation of your centre
    • Amenities/entertainment for participants in the host city

Complete applications will be scored as described above based upon the following criteria:

  • Proposed members for organizing committee as host site representatives
  • CME/CEU provision
  • Center commitment to SPLIT through membership and active involvement
  • Registry Site data entry accuracy and current Center membership in good standing (up to date on annual Registry Site dues).
