Overview
The webinar series will focus on the process of organ donation, specifically in the end-of-life care of donors in order to facilitate organ donation for transplantation. Participants will learn about the skills related to donor evaluation, diagnosis of death, donor management, as well as how to approach families and communicate bad news regarding the diagnosis of brain death and organ donation, and the process of donation after circulatory definition of death (DCD).

finishing his PhD at the University of Barcelona. He currently works as Consultant 1, Donation & Transplant Coordinator at David HealthArdination Section at Hospital Clinic,
Barcelona, Spain, as well as an Associate Professor of the Surgery Department at the
University of Barcelona. He has also been a member of the Board of European
Donation & Transplant Coordination Organization (EDTCO) since 2013 and EDTCO Past Chair.

Dr Marco Sacchi is an anesthesiologist and intensivist, working on organ donation since his medicine degree in 2004. He collaborated in the birth of the first Italian uDCD program in Pavia and worked at one of the first cDCD programs in Italy at Niguarda Hospital in Milan.
He attended the International Master in Donation and Transplantation of Organs, Tissues and Cells, held in Barcelona in 2017-2018. After the Master he started his collaboration with TPM-DTI Foundation participating as a teacher to courses of various level around the world.
