Dr. Stephen Beed is a clinician at heart and has completed postgraduate training focused on Adult Critical Care Medicine plus Thoracic and Cardiovascular Anesthesia. His current clinical focus is in the Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Beed has recently been awarded the position of President-Elect (2019-2021) for the International Society of Organ Donation and Procurement Council. Having served as the Medical Advisor for the Nova Scotia Organ and Tissue Donation Program since its inception in 2006, he continues to contribute to the development of optimal care for organ and tissue donation by also serving as the Clinical Lead for the new presumed-consent legislation that has passed in Nova Scotia. He has also served at the national level by having served as National Chair of the Deceased Donation Advisory Committee (2008-2018) as well as serving as a member of the Organ Donation and Transplantation Expert Advisory Committee through Canadian Blood Services.

In particular: 1) development of brain dead donor management therapies focused on increasing the number of thoracic grafts available for transplantation, 2) the use of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) devices as tool to ameliorate the ischemic damage in donors after circulatory death, 3) initial postoperative treatment in lung recipients

Scientific Committee Chairman for CritiCare-22 Ahmedabad.

Dr. Ravi Mohanka is the Director of Liver Transplant and Hepato-Biliary Surgery at Global Hospital, Mumbai, the leading liver transplant unit in western India. He is the Vice Chair – Elect of the Membership and Communications Committee of the International Liver Transplant Society (ILTS). He serves as the vice president of the liver transplant society of India (LTSI). He is the chairman of the liver sub-committee of the Zonal Transplant Coordination Committee (ZTCC), Mumbai and as a member of the liver sub-committee of the Regional Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (ROTTO), Western India and State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (SOTTO), Maharashtra. Ritesh Shah, MD,IDCCM, FICCM, FIECMO is Director of Critical Care Unit and senior Critical Care Consultant at Sterling Hospitals, Vadodara, Gujarat, India.
He has completed Indian Diploma in Critical Care Medicine from Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine. He is a fellow of Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine.
He is faculty and course director of BLS and ACLS courses of AHA. He authored many textbook and update book chapters. He was co-editor of Critical Care Communication newsletter of ISCCM for the year 2019. He has keen interest in haemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation, quality and safety in ICU and a special interest in Error Prevention in ICU. He has developed an innovative way to prevent errors in ICU for which he has the patent of the concept.
He is executive committee member of ISCCM. He received Presidential Citation Award for outstanding contribution to Critical Care and ISCCM for the year 2019. He also developed FLOWDROP protocol for optimal utilization of Oxygen during COVID pandemic Oxygen crisis.
