Overview:
There are numerous aspects of quality and safety in organ donation and transplantation. Worldwide, the donor rate is increasing and there are fewer cases with dramatic causes of brain death compared to cerebral vascular diseases. More patients suffer from other underlying diseases that need to be detected and evaluated, specifically concerning the question: Is this organ suitable for donation?
