Dr. Clemente is a Professor at the School of Medicine of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Brazil. She holds a PhD in Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine from the same institution. She has been working in the field of Transplantation for over 20 years and has professional expertise in the areas of transplant infection, quality and safety in transplantation, travel and tropical medicine, and healthcare-associated infections, with a special interest in Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs (ASP). Dr. Clemente has attended visitor TID programs in the UK, the US, and Spain. She is an associate editor of Transplantation and has led a number of international research projects, besides serving as a member of many national and international study groups on the subject of TID. She is passionate about education in medicine and the continued professional development of specialists in TID.

Oriol Manuel, MD works at the Lausanne University Hospital, Switzerland, as transplant infectious diseases specialist and clinical research scientist. His main interest is in the area of clinical research involving viral infections in transplant recipients. He is interested in the epidemiology and preventive strategies for cytomegalovirus (CMV) disease and influenza in the transplant population. He is associate professor at the University of Lausanne. He is also member of the Scientific Committee of the Swiss Transplant Cohort Study (STCS), and Associate Editor of the !American Journal of Transplantation and Transplant International.

Dr. Siriorn Watcharananan graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi hospital, Mahidol University. After medical school, she underwent internal medicine training at the University of Illinois at Chicago, in Chicago, Illinois and subsequently completed an Infectious Disease fellowship, and a Clinical Microbiology fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, in Cleveland, Ohio, respectively. She also served as a chief fellow of the Department of Infectious Disease during the training. Dr. Watcharananan is currently an associate professor of Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, and an assistant medical director at MedPark hospital in Bangkok, Thailand.

Dr. Watcharananan started the national academic program, training and symposium of Transplant Infectious Disease in the country. Her interest includes emerging viral infection, endemic transplant related infection/ transplant related tropical infection and infection in transplant patients from Burma/Cambodia. Dr. Watcharananan is a fellow of the Infectious Disease Society of America, a member of the Transplantation Society, as well as councilor of the Transplant Infectious Disease section of the International Transplantation Society.
