Training Options for Clinicians

207.1 - Training Options for Clinicians: South Africa Training African Clinicians

Presenter: Saraladevi, Naicker, Johannesburg, South Africa
Authors: Saraladevi Naicker

Overview:

The majority of ESRD patients in Africa are treated with haemodialysis, with very few countries offering kidney transplantation. These transplants, in most instances, are from living donors. Education and training, as well as acquisition of resources, are required for the establishment of a sustainable transplant programme to serve the needs of the population.
