Overview

In order to encourage the next generation of medical doctors to pursue a career in the field of transplantation, we are looking for medical students interested in participating in The Transplantation Society (TTS) 2022 Congress in Buenos Aires, Argentina being held on September 11th-14th. Selected medical students will participate in three workshops by asking questions to the panelists. Additionally, students will attend five other sessions of their choice, and special events, and will participate in TTS 2022 social media activity. Students will be mentored to develop a slide deck presentation with highlights of the sessions attended. Their experience at the Congress, as well as key take-home messages, will be shared with their medical school peers. Their slide decks and other materials from the congress will be featured on the TTS website. Please send any questions to jennifer.groverman@tts.org.

General Information

TTS will assess the student submissions to select one student from each of the following seven regions (North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa and Oceania) to attend TTS 2022 tts2022.org with financial support towards air travel and hotel provided by TTS, and free registration.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible you must be currently enrolled in an accredited medical school. All applicants must be fluent in English.

Specific Application Requirements

We ask that all applicants fill out the application form on the TTS website. Applicants will be asked to provide thoughtful questions for medical experts to respond to the following topics (minimum of three questions per topic in English):

The influence of religion on organ transplantation.
Shaping the next generation of transplantation physicians, surgeons and immunologists.
The role of patient organizations in organ donation and transplantation.

Additionally, applicants will be asked to answer the questions below (maximum of 50 words per question).

Why are you interested in attending the TTS 2022?
How would you share the information with your peers, family and friends? How? Why?
What do you see as the future of transplantation?
