MD, PhD, anesthesiologist, is Assessor on Transplantation, Medical Direction, Hospital Clinic, Barcelona; Associate Professor, Medical School, University of Barcelona; and President of the TPM-DTI Foundation, Past President ISODP-TTS and TTS European Councilor. He created the deceased and living donation program in the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona in 1985and the TSF multi-tissue bank in 1994. He is an expert in organ and tissue donation, training donor procurement, and tissue banking at national and international level. Among the most important positions he has occupied, he was the former president of the European Transplant Coordinators Organization (ETCO, the former vice president of the European Association of Tissue Banks (EATB) and, from 2015 until September 2017, he was the President of the International Society for Organ Donation and Procurement (ISODP). He is currently European Councilor of The Transplantation Society (TTS) for 2018-2022 and Chair of the TTS Anesthesia and Critical Care Committee (2020-2022).

Dr. Boon Hun YONG, MBBS, FRCP(Edin), FANZCA, FHKAM, is a Consultant Anesthesiologist at Hong Kong Sanatorium and Hospital, where his practice includes major hepatic and pancreatic surgery. Previously he was Anesthesiology Team Head for liver transplantation at Queen Mary Hospital, University of Hong Kong. Dr. Yong has been a member of The Transplantation Society (TTS) since 2000, and serves on the Anesthesia and Critical Care Committee. He has also served in a similar capacity in the International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS). Dr. Yong is active in training and education, and has been on Examination Boards in Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia. He is an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Hong Kong.

Elena Sandoval MD FEBCTS is a Cardiovascular surgeon in Hospital Clinic in Barcelona. After finishing her training in CV surgery, she did a clinical fellowship in transplant and mechanical circulatory support. Dr Sandoval is on the of coordinators of the Mechanical circulatory support group of the SECCE. She is also member of the respiratory sub-group of the RENACER registry and an active EuroELSO member.

Juan Perdomo, MD, EDIC, is an anesthesiology consultant at the Hospital Clinic in Barcelona and Associate Professor at the University of Barcelona. Dr. Perdomo’s expertise is in cardiothoracic and vascular anesthesia as well as transesophageal echocardiography. He also works as ICU consultant. He is an active member of the European Association of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology and Intensive Care and holds the European Adult Transesophageal Certification. He is codirector of the Master in Techniques of Extracorporeal Perfusion and Oxygenation at University of Barcelona.
Dr Perdomo’s fields of interests are also Postoperative Cognitive Dysfunction, coagulation management in cardiac surgery and debriefing in clinical simulation.
